White family forced to give up their daughter by court because she is 1.5% Native American

Social workers seized a hysterical six-year-old girl from the home of her white foster family on Monday because she is part Native American.
The child, Lexi, sobbed, clinging to her foster father Rusty Page as he reluctantly fought through a crowd to hand the child over to the Department of Children and Families in Santa Clarita.
In a disturbing video from KTLA, Lexi screamed, begging Rusty, 'don't let them take me away', as she was removed from her family.
As Lexi was placed in the back of a black car with government workers, her foster mother Summer Page burst from the home screaming 'I love you, Lexi'.

Lexi's foster siblings screamed 'no' over and over, crying hysterically as their sister was taken.
Droves of protesters and reporters stood by helplessly as the family's screams continued to echo out into the street.
The horrifying scene came days after Rusty and his wife Summer were denied an emergency stay to keep the part-Native American child.
Summer and Rusty raised Lexi for the last five years and spent the last two-and-a-half trying to adopt her with no success.

Brussels attacks: At least 34 dead , Isis claims airport and metro attacks

Cowering under desks and running for their lives, this is the terrifying moment passengers were caught up in an ISIS suicide bomb attack at Brussels Airport today in a series of blasts that have killed at least 34 people and injured 170 across the city.

Witnesses described apocalyptic scenes with blood and 'dismembered bodies everywhere' after two blasts rocked the terminal at around 8am (7am GMT), killing at least 14 people and injuring dozens of others.
Then 79 minutes later at 9.19am, at least 20 people were killed and scores injured, some critically, when a blast hit a Metro station just 400 metres from the EU headquarters in the city centre.

......................................................................................
At the airport, there were reports of a firefight between police and the attackers who shouted in Arabic moments before detonating their bombs, one of which was understood to contain nails.
An unexploded suicide vest was later found in the rubble and a Kalashnikov rifle beside the body of a dead terrorist. ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attacks.

The blasts, which detonated near a Starbucks and several check-in desks, sent shockwaves through the terminal building, shattering windows and knocking roof tiles off the ceiling as terrified passengers ran for their lives.
The explosions, coming just four months after the Paris attacks, have left countries around the world reeling, with security services placed on high alert, flights cancelled, Eurostar services suspended and France's border with Belgium shut down

The Sexiest Doctor Alive is officially off the market - but the lucky woman is more than deserving.
Dr Mikhail Varshavski has confirmed that he is has begun dating the most beautiful woman in the world: Miss Universe 2015.
The Russian-born doctor told Wonderwall: 'I am dating Pia. It's a fairly new relationship but I'm really excited to see where it can go!'
Rumors about the relationship had begun flying last month that Varshavski - Named the 'Sexiest Doctor Alive' in 2015 by People Magazine - was dating Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, when he posted an Instagram picture of the pair together.

The caption read: 'She says she wanted to be a doctor until she realized she's deathly afraid of the sight of blood, so she decided to win #MissUniverse instead #touché #welldone #stoneheartday @piawurtzbach'
Only a week ago, Wurtzbach had claimed that Miss Universe remained her top priority during a live Facebook chat: 'No. There's no specific someone in my life. This is the specific someone. This is the priority'
But Wurtzbach later showed off a photo with the dashing doctor on her Twitter account, after a boxing match with him, which she captioned: 'Zombies after boxing @RealDoctorMike'.

While the relationship is only in its early stages, one can only imagine what their children would look like.

Wurtzbach was crowned Miss Universe in December last year in one of the most awkward live television moments in history.
The show's host Steve Harvey mistakenly read the wrong name and gave Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutiérrez the crown when the Filipino beauty was the actual winner.
Varshavski, meanwhile went viral for his 'doctor.mike' Instagram account that is filled with photos of himself and his Husky named Roxy.
The second-year medical resident now has 1.6 million followers and recently signed with Abrams Artists Agency.
He is a self-described 'avid explorer of life', according to his page.
The doctor works at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, N.J., where he has been a medical resident for two years.

After he gained the flattering title from People last year, he commented: 'Now I can't go anywhere without some recognition.
'Airports, restaurants, lounges, people approach me everywhere either asking for a selfie or to just ask a question or two. I've never had that before.
'Normally I'm a shy guy who keeps to himself and enjoys to people watch, but now that's all changed.'
In January this year, Varshavski offered one lucky woman a romantic night out in New York City but they had to first donate to the Limitless Tomorrow Foundation, which offers financial assistance to students.
The proposal read: 'You'll fly to New York City and stay at a 4-star hotel and you and Mike will dine at a Michelin Star restaurant.'
But now he is officially taken, it looks like only Wurtzbach will be wining and dining with him.

Anders Breivik makes Nazi salute in Norway as he begins human rights law...

Anders Breivik makes Nazi salute in Norway as he begins human rights lawsuit

Mass killer Anders Behring
Breivik claimed in court on Tuesday that Norway was
violating his human rights by keeping him in isolation for
murdering 77 people in 2011, but irritated the judge with a
Nazi salute at the start of proceedings.
Clean-shaven and wearing a black suit, white shirt and
golden tie, Breivik raised his right arm in a flat-handed Nazi-
style salute on arrival at the court, slightly different from the
outstretched arm and clenched fist he used in 2012.
His lawyer said Breivik considers himself a national
socialist, or Nazi, and that the gesture was "the worst thing
you can do in a courtroom". Breivik later suggested it was
an old Norse gesture, he said.
Judge Helen Andenaes Sekulic was not pleased either way.
She told Breivik not to repeat the salute when court
proceedings resume on Wednesday.
Appearing in public for the first time since he was sentenced
in 2012, Breivik is claiming inhuman treatment by Norway,
where he is serving 21 years for killing eight people with a
bomb in Oslo and gunning down 69 others on an island
nearby, many of them teenagers.
He has had just one visitor with whom he had physical
contact - his mother, who was allowed into prison and gave
him a hug shortly before she died of cancer in 2013.
Breivik's lawyer, Oeystein Storrvik, accused Norway of
violating a ban on "inhuman and degrading treatment" under
the European Convention on Human Rights by keeping the
37-year-old isolated from other inmates in a special three-
room cell.
"There is no tradition in Norway for this type of isolation," he
told the special court that will meet until Friday in a
gymnasium at Skien jail about 100 km (60 miles) south of
Oslo.
Norway rejects the charges of inhuman treatment.

"Breivik is a very dangerous man," said Marius Emberland,
the lawyer representing the state, defending Breivik's
conditions.
He said Breivik had been given some opportunities for
interaction with others, including meeting volunteers to play
chess, but that he had declined.
Another prisoner tried to attack Breivik last year, getting to
within earshot. When stopped by guards, the man shouted:
"You are a killer, a child killer ... And I love my country,"
Emberland said.
Storrvik told Reuters he had advised Breivik against making
the salute. "He (Breivik) says he is a national socialist," he
said.
"FULL-BLOODED NAZI"
Oeystein Soerensen, a professor of history at Oslo
University, said Breivik seemed to want to signal to like-
minded fanatics "that he is now a full-blooded Nazi. He
wasn't that in 2011."
In 2011, for instance, a rambling manifesto written by
Breivik expressed sympathy for Israel, seeing it as an ally in
his hostility to Muslims. And Breivik's previous clenched fist
was "a sort of home-made fascist salute," he said.
Opinions are divided among the survivors and relatives of
victims who have spoken out publicly. Some have said the
lawsuit is a joke and do not want to be reminded of July 22,
2011, while one survivor said Breivik's human rights should
be respected.
"Breivik made us inhuman as victims of his actions and
we're in danger of falling into the same trap as him if we
take away his human rights," survivor Bjoern Ihler told
Reuters in Oslo, at a court where the case was televised.
Breivik killed eight people with a bomb in Oslo and gunned
down 69 others on an island nearby, many of them
teenagers. He is serving Norway's maximum sentence of
21 years, which can be extended.
Breivik will have a chance to speak on Wednesday. The
single judge - there is no jury - will issue a ruling in coming
weeks. Storrvik says he may eventually appeal to the
European Court of Human Rights if Breivik loses.
Norway considered it too dangerous to hear the case in
Oslo. The makeshift courtroom has walls lined with timber
bars and a climbing frame as well as two basketball hoops.

well

These amazing pictures show the remarkable rescue effort
to save a leopard which fell down a well in India while
looking for prey.
The big cat was pictured with its glowing eyes peering up at
the people on the top of the well, who called rescue workers
from the Guwahati Zoo to help save the struggling animal.
The distressed leopard was drenched, with just its head
sticking out of the muddy water littered with broken wood
floating on the surface, as it waited from the rescuers to
arrive.

It can be seen biting and tugging on the rope which rescuers
throw down in order to eventually winch the animal up to
the top.
Zoo workers are then forced to tranquilize the big cat so
they can safely get down to it and attach the roped to pull it
up.
Crowds of people gather to watch the audacious effort, with
many lending a hand to pull buckets of water up from the
well so that the leopard doesn't drown while unconscious.
One man carefully climbs down the damp walls of the well
and bravely ties the ropes around the animals neck and
torso so that the army of helpers at the top can drag it to
safety.
They finally get the unconscious cat to the top of the well,
and it can be seen laying lifeless and covered in mud on the
floor.
But the zoo workers then put the animal into a small metal
cage and carry it to a truck using huge wooden sticks
attached to it as handles.
It was then taken to the Guwahati Zoo for treatment, where
vets will assess its condition and hopefully nurse it back to
health.

...................................................................................
A monstrous-looking sea creature that experts are unable to
identify has washed up on a tourist beach in Mexico.
The strange 4-meter (13-foot-long) beast was found by
beach-goers on Bonfil Beach, in the city of Acapulco, in the
south-west Mexican state of Guerrero.
Stunned spectators gathered around and took photos, which
they shared on social media, speculating about the possible
species of the creature.

The floating body was brought to the shore by strong
currents that have been affecting that particular part of the
Mexican coast.
Although the coordinator of the Civil Guard and Fire Brigade,
Rosa Camacho, believes the animal had not been dead for a
long time, it still seemed to have rapidly started to decay.
'We have no idea what type of animal this is, but I do know
that it does not smell bad or have a fetid aroma,' Camacho
stated.

'It is four meters long and was found on Bonfil Beach.'
The many photos of the strange creature have been seen
and shared online thousands of times and have provoked a
debate about what kind of animal it is.
Some have suggested that the creature might be a type of
giant squid and others a whale.

Amazing! Dindim the Penguin swims 5,000 MILES every year to visit Brazil...

This incredible video shows the touching relationship
between a penguin and the Brazilian man who rescued him
from certain death.
Retired bricklayer and part time fisherman Joao Pereira de
Souza, 71, from an island village just outside Rio de Janeiro
in Brazil, discovered the tiny penguin languishing on rocks
in 2011.
The helpless creature was starving and covered in oil but Mr
de Souza took him in and nursed him back to health, naming
the South American Magellanic penguin Dindim.

........................................................................................
It took him a week just to clean the sticky black residue
from the bird's feathers.
When Dindim was well again Mr de Souza released him back
into the sea, never expecting to see his new friend again.

He was astonished when, just a few months later, the
penguin returned to the island where he recognised Mr de
Souza and returned home with him.
Now, Dindim spends eight months of the year with Mr de
Souza and spends the rest of his time breeding off the coast
of Argentina and Chile.

The flightless bird is believed to swim around 5,000 miles
everytime he returns to Mr de Souza.
'I love the penguin like it's my own child and I believe the
penguin loves me,' Mr Pereira de Souza told Globo TV.
'No one else is allowed to touch him. He pecks them if they
do. He lays on my lap, lets me give him showers, allows me
to feed him sardines and to pick him up.'
Mr Pereira de Souza said he fed Dindim a daily diet of fish
to improve his strength then took him back to the sea to let
him go.

'But he wouldn't leave, he stayed with me for 11 months
and then just after he changed his coat with new feathers he
disappeared,' recalled the retired builder. 'Everyone said he
wouldn't return but he has been coming back to visit me for
the past four years.
'He arrives in June and leaves to go home in February and
every year he becomes more affectionate as he appears
even happier to see me.'
Biologist Joao Paulo Krajewski, who interviewed Mr Pereira
de Souza for Globo TV, said: 'I have never seen anything
like this before. I think the penguin believes Joao is part of
his family and probably a penguin as well.
'When he sees him he wags his tail like a dog and honks
with delight.'
Another expert said it appears as though Dindim recognises
Mr de Souza as he would another penguin, and acts
accordingly.

Indian dwarves become one of the world's smallest couples after wedding ...

Indian dwarves become one of the world's smallest couples after wedding ceremony

At just over two feet tall, Pramod Kumar's search for the

perfect soulmate was one he feared would never be

completed.

But after 22 years of looking, the 47-year-old finally found

love with Poonam Devi, 33.

At three feet and four inches tall herself, the newly weds -

who were hitched in a traditional Indian ceremony in Uttar

Pradesh last week - are one of the world's smallest couples.

At a collective 71.4 inches tall, they are only point four

inches taller than the current world record holders, Douglas

Maistre Breger da Silva and his wife Claudia Pereira Rocha,

who measure 71 inches tall together.

But Kumar isn't fussed about narrowly missing out on the

record, which would have seen them become minor

celebrities in their home country, known for its obsession

with record breaking.

Kumar said: 'A local villager helped us meet because he

knew that both of us were single.

'It was love at first sight for me. We fell in love right after

our first meeting. Things between us moved forward quickly

and we got married within a few days.

'I am pleased to have met my life's love and wouldn't

change anything.'

The two lovebirds got married in an elaborate wedding

ceremony in the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, with

much local fanfare celebrating their joyful couples

matrimony.

'We got married in an big wedding ceremony which was the

happiest day of my life. We love each other so much,' said a

jubilant Kumar.

Devi said: 'I was very lonely in life before meeting Pramod.

He is an incredible man. I can only thank my stars for this

gift that I have got in my husband.'

However, Kumar and Poonam feel that local villagers will try

to bully them because of their heights.

'Yes, people say things all the time. Many say that we can't

fit into the society. But, we don't care about what people

say.

'They are just envious that we are a happy couple. The

unhappiness in their lives makes them say such things,'

said Poonam.

The couple are looking forward to having proper jobs so that

they can build a home and family.

Kumar said: 'I was turning old and this worried me a lot as I

had not been with anyone ever.

'I thought I would die single but then I met Poonam and she

is the best thing ever happened to me. Now I want to work

and make our lives better.'

'Jobs are our only concern now. We both haven't had proper

jobs in our lives so far. But now we will move forward in

that direction and never look back again.'
