Boy, 4, looks like an old man and can't go to school 'because other children are scared of him'

A four-year-old boy resembles an 80-year-old pensioner due to an incredibly rare condition .

Bayezid Hossain, from outside Magura, southern Bangladesh, suffers a swollen face, hollow eyes, sagging skin, aching joints, difficulties passing urine and already has weak and broken teeth .

People in the community stay away from him and children are afraid to play with him despite him having above average intelligence ,

Bayezid is believed to suffer from progeria, which ages the body at eight times the normal rate .

Bayezid also has a form of cutis laxa, a rare connective tissue disorder in which the skin hangs loosely in folds,

His 18-year-old mother, Tripti Khatun, says she is amazed at how clever her son is, but it breaks her heart that his appearance is so unusual .

She said: ‘Bayezid only learned to walk aged three but he had a full set of teeth at three months old .

'His physical growth is completely abnormal but mentally, he has wonderful conversation, very aware and is very intuitive for his age .

He does not look like other children , He looks like an old man,  As a first time mother I can’t bear the pain of seeing my child like this,

When Bayezid was born at a government maternity hospital, in 2012, Tripti and her husband Lovelu Hossain, 22, were devastated as doctors had no idea how to treat him .

Tripti said: ‘I was terrified to see him when he was born ,He was just flesh and bones , He looked like an alien and it was heartbreaking for me .

'Doctors had no idea what to do, they said they had never seen such a baby. They warned us that there was nothing they could do.’

After they returned home the news of their abnormal child quickly spread around the village and neighbours lined up outside the family's home to see him.

But Tripti and her husband said they received no support from the local community.

People feared being close to Bayezid and often gossiped about the couple’s capabilities as parents, as Tripti and Lovelu are first cousins .

In rural parts of Bangladesh and southern Asia Muslim community  it is normal practice for cousins to marry, and the pair tied the knot at 13 years old .

As Bayezid grew older both his personality and body developed much faster than other children in his village.

Tripti added: ‘He’s very stubborn and knows what he wants, and he gets very impatient. But he’s playful, his mind is very sharp, and he’s full of conversation.’

As time has passed his neighbours have slowly gotten used to his presence and have now fondly tagged him the ‘old man’.

Bayezid doesn’t go to school but he loves to play with his ball, drawing on paper, and even breaking his toys so he can fix them back up again.

Lovelu said ‘We’ve been to hospitals, shrines, fakirs, shamans— whoever suggested whatever .

'Yet his situation remains the same and he’s probably getting even worse day by day,  My son isn’t a normal baby and it’s tragic for any parent to know that his child will not survive for long .

But I am proud of him. He is extremely intelligent compared to other children of his age. His relationship with his cousins is very friendly and funny .

'He understands his condition but he doesn’t like to talk about it. He just cries when he feels awkward .
Debashis Bishwas, a consultant from Magura Central Hospital, in Magura, met with Bayezid last month and told his parents he believes he is suffering from progeria and cutis laxa .

He said he fears he may only live for 15 years.
Lovelu understands there may not be a cure for his son’s conditions

'Like every other parent, we want our baby to live a long and healthy life but we feel only a miracle will save us now .

This is the heartbreaking moment a schoolgirl lies dying at a zoo after being struck on the head in a freak accident by a rock hurled at her by an elephant.

The seven-year-old was having a picture outside its enclosure with her family when the tragedy happened at the zoo in the Moroccan capital Rabat.

The female elephant, named Assia, picked up the large stone in its trunk and threw it into the air, hitting her on the back of the head.

The youngster was knocked unconscious and died in a nearby hospital after failing to overcome her injuries.

Footage taken by a bystander on a mobile phone and posted on social media showed the girl lying on the ground being tended to by staff as her anguished family gathered round her.

Local reports said the girl's dad had lifted her up on his shoulders outside the elephant enclosure so her mum could take a snap of the two of them with their back to the animals when she was struck.

A zoo spokesman offered his condolences to the girl's family but said there had been no security breaches and she had not crossed into a protective area outside the enclosure.

He insisted: 'Accidents of this type are rare, unforeseeable and unusual.

Horrifying moment a woman is dragged off by a TIGER after getting out of her car at a safari park

A woman was eaten alive and another seriously injured after they jumped out of a car in a tiger enclosure at a Chinese safari park .

Dramatic video footage captures the middle-aged woman flouting the warnings by getting out of the car, and she was killed instantly after she followed the younger woman out of the car at the Badaling Wildlife World, near the Great Wall of China .

Both had ignored repeated warnings to stay inside the vehicle, according to local media .

Sohu reported that the family - one older woman, a younger woman, a child and a man - were in the park, just over an hour north-west of Beijing, on Saturday .

The younger woman and the man are understood to have had an argument, at which point she stormed out of the car, reports Chinese media .

The older woman then followed her out - and was instantly attacked by the Siberian tiger .

The 6,000 acre park, which allows people to either drive themselves or join a tour, tells people not to leave their vehicles at any point .

The younger woman was seriously injured, an official confirmed .

This is not the first time the tigers have attacked someone in the park: two years ago, a male employee was killed by one of the tigers .

Cincinnati Zoo gorilla Harambe killed to protect boy who fell into enclosure

A zoo shot and killed a 17-year-old gorilla that grabbed and dragged a four-year-old boy who fell into the its enclosure on Saturday afternoon.
Authorities said the boy, who fell 10 to 12 feet, is expected to recover after being picked up out of the moat and dragged by the 400-pound male, lowland gorilla named Harambe.
The boy was in the moat for about 10 minutes and was in between the gorilla's legs when the gorilla was shot, according to WLWT.
While zoo officials are still investigating, they believe the boy crawled through a railing barrier, and then fell into the moat.

Zoo officials said at the time boy fell in the moat, three gorillas were in the enclosure but the two female gorillas were called out immediately.
However, a third gorilla, Harambe, remained in the yard with the child.
Video footage emerged on Saturday revealing some of the chilling moments of the time the boy was inside the moat, as a panicked crowd looking on can be heard screaming as the ordeal unfolded.
During the chaotic scenes, people can be heard shouting 'No, no!' and for someone to call 911.
At one point a woman appearing to be the child's mother yells down, 'mommy's right here,' 'mommy loves you,' and then says 'Isaiah be calm,' as the boy can be heard crying.
The graphic portions of the ordeal which apparently showed the gorilla dragging the boy through the water, were removed from the footage, according to by WLWT.
The child was taken to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center with serious injuries following the incident, which was reported around 4pm.
The boy was alert when he was taken to hospital, according to officials.

Hospital officials said they could not release any information on the child, whose name has not been released.
Director Thane Maynard said the zoo's dangerous animal response team, which practices for such incidents, decided the boy was in 'a life-threatening situation' and that they needed to put down the gorilla.
'They made a tough choice and they made the right choice because they saved that little boy's life,' Maynard said.
'It could have been very bad.'
Maynard said the gorilla did not appear to be attacking the child, but he said it was 'an extremely strong' animal in an agitated situation.
The Cincinnati fire department incident report stated that the gorilla was 'violently dragging and throwing the child,' according to WLWT.
Maynard explained that tranquilizing the gorilla would not have knocked it out immediately, leaving the boy in danger.

He also noted it was the first time that the team had killed a zoo animal in such an emergency situation, and he called it 'a very sad day' at the zoo.
Harambe came to Cincinnati in 2015 from the Gladys Porter Zoo in Brownsville, Texas. According to the zoo's website, it houses 11 gorillas.
The area around the gorilla exhibit was closed off on Saturday afternoon as zoo visitors reported hearing screaming.
The zoo is to be open as usual on Sunday but Gorilla World will be closed until further notice.
In March, two curious polar bears at the zoo wandered into a behind-the-scenes service hallway through an open den door, but never left a secondary containment area.
The zoo said the 17-year-old female Berit and the 26-year-old male Little One, entered an 'inappropriate' area but remained contained and were never loose or a threat to the public.
During that incident, zoo officials said staff followed protocols and safely returned the bears to their main holding area within two hours.

Cowering under desks and running for their lives, this is the terrifying moment passengers were caught up in an ISIS suicide bomb attack at Brussels Airport today in a series of blasts that have killed at least 34 people and injured 170 across the city.

Witnesses described apocalyptic scenes with blood and 'dismembered bodies everywhere' after two blasts rocked the terminal at around 8am (7am GMT), killing at least 14 people and injuring dozens of others.
Then 79 minutes later at 9.19am, at least 20 people were killed and scores injured, some critically, when a blast hit a Metro station just 400 metres from the EU headquarters in the city centre.

.....................................................................................
......................................................................................
At the airport, there were reports of a firefight between police and the attackers who shouted in Arabic moments before detonating their bombs, one of which was understood to contain nails.
An unexploded suicide vest was later found in the rubble and a Kalashnikov rifle beside the body of a dead terrorist. ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attacks.

The blasts, which detonated near a Starbucks and several check-in desks, sent shockwaves through the terminal building, shattering windows and knocking roof tiles off the ceiling as terrified passengers ran for their lives.
The explosions, coming just four months after the Paris attacks, have left countries around the world reeling, with security services placed on high alert, flights cancelled, Eurostar services suspended and France's border with Belgium shut down
