Graduate, 22, who turned to porn for extra cash reveals she can be paid £10 an hour to have sex with strangers

A 22-year-old university graduate has told how she's ditched a traditional career path and instead established herself as a porn star - with her mother supporting her decision.

Jade, who is known professionally as
Carly Rae Summers, says she can earn anything from £10 an hour for a low end job to £1,200 for a more demanding two-day shoot.

In a bid to dispel the 'tacky' and 'dirty' stereotypes about her line of work, the Warwickshire resident stars in a new BBC 3 documentary where she seen busy on set, performing various sex acts on strangers.

At one point in Jade: Why I Chose Porn, she travels to Barcelona to film a virtual reality sex scene which involves giving a 'foot job' - something she’s never done before.

At another point Jade flies to America for a series of bookings in the hope of getting a lucky break.

She says in most instances, she doesn't know what a job is going to involve.

The actress reveals that despite often playing 'submissive' roles with men, she is actually a feminist.

'I’m completely in control of the situation,' she says.
'I’m a feminist because everything I do is all about me. When I do these things, I do it because I want to.'

Jade got into porn while studying fashion at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Not feeling inspired by the thought of unpaid internships and feeling a little rebellious after a 'strict' upbringing, she started selling pictures and videos of herself online.

Shortly after, someone contacted her and asked if she'd be interested in making a porn film.

Recalling the chain of events, Jade said: 'I suddenly had £100 in bank account every few weeks and I could go shopping and it made me happy.

'One day I got an email through the website asking if i would like to make a porno and I was "yes I would love to that, it sounds amazing."'

While the work provides her with a steady steady income, Jade says being an adult star has also benefited her in lots of different ways and completely 'changed her life.'

She says working in the porn industry has boosted her confidence, helped her overcome depression and made her 'more well-rounded'.

It has also apparently allowed her to meet men who treat her with respect.

Although she is constantly watching herself on screen, Jade said porn has helped her overcome any body hangups.

In a blog post published on The Huffington Post UK she writes: 'I know the girls we see in magazines and on TV have been altered to perfection and that my body is normal.

'I accept my body and I am confident about my image.'
